Apartment for Rent in Cuenca

I’m liking Cuenca more and more, as are a number of expats. If you want to check out the city on a short or long-term basis, think about renting an apartment such as the one listed below.

For rent: a large double bedroom in a beautiful 3-bedroom, furnished apartment in Cuenca’s historic district, $50/wk or $175/mth.

Fully furnished, large double bedroom in a spacious 3-bedroom apartment on the second floor of a colonial building in the heart of Cuenca’s Old Town. You will be sharing with an English-speaking Cuencano family (a young couple with a baby). Great opportunity to immerse yourself in Cuencano life. The apartment is comfortably furnished and equipped (minus washing machine & dishwasher, but good and cheap laundry is less than a 2 min. walk). A lovely, large lounge and dining room, 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and a fully stocked kitchen with breakfast table. Wooden floors throughout. The apartment also boasts a large sun terrace with lounge area, furniture and plants. Available from 13th April from 1 week and upwards (only $50/wk or $175/mth) including gas and electric (no internet). Please contact Marie Elena at 09 3536 229 (outside Ecuador +593 9 3536 229). In addition, Spanish, Ecuadorian cooking and dancing lessons are all available on request.

  4. My wife and I are looking for a furnished rental from January 29 to March 4, 2012 in Cuenca…

Check out Craigslist.com for Ecuador. They have listings. Also, and I think this sight has better value, is http://www.olx.com.ec/en/. This is like the craigslist of Ecuador developed in Ecuador for Ecuadorians, so the prices reflect a bit more what an Ecuadorian would pay.

Good luck, and should you need anything more, just ask!

Also, should you want me to refer you to someone who can help you out in this country, I would be happy to pass you along to friends who have services that assist people in finding property and rentals.

sorry Sherry, I don’t quite understand what you mean. You are looking for a place for your family? I don’t think anyone would deny that if you are house hunting.
