Do Ecuador Citizens Prefer Obama or McCain?

From May to September 2008 Gallup Polls conducted surveys in 70 countries to see who the world preferred to see elected into the Presidential office in the United States. Obama received overwhelming support, being the preferred candidate by a ratio of nearly 4-1.Pan6(a)

How did the citizens of Ecuador feel? Thirty percent were in favor of the election of Obama into office, while only 9% preferred McCain. A whopping 62% didn’t know who they preferred or refused to answer the question.

Will the election of Obama or McCain affect Ecuador? With the United States economy and government being one of the major world powers, it is likely that the effects of this election will be felt worldwide. What influence will this election have on Ecuador? Seventeen percent of Ecuadorians feel there will be no difference whatsoever, while Pan6only 29% believe there will be. Fifty-four percent are unsure whether or not McCain or Obama taking office will have any affect on life in Ecuador.

    With President Obama now in the White House many of us fear he is extreme on the socialist side. And may cause an economic collapse in the USA. This will translate in to devaluation of the dollar and the goods we buy will cost more because the dollar no longer is worth anything.
